Structure

The Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations, in order to exploit efficiently our national wealth, operating always in the public interest, gathers under one integrated institutional structure the public assets, the participations in SOEs and the real estate properties.

It manages part of the private property of the State, in order to maximize its value and to attract direct investments through the implementation of the Asset Development Plan (Privatization Plan).

It manages and exploits a large and diverse real estate portfolio of the State throughout the Greek territory.

It includes participations in state-owned enterprises, with the objective to implement practices for better corporate governance and transparency, to improve efficiency and to create long-term value. In certain cases, ensuring financial sustainability, through specific measures and reforms, may also be required.

It contributes to the maintenance of the stability of the Greek banking system

*Important note: For HFSF, HCAP has very limited powers, as the decisions for the accomplishment of its mission and purpose are made exclusively by the relevant bodies of HFSF.
